I don't even have to read the article and I can tell you that we are. I get the "Nuclear Plant Journal" at home, and if they were reporting on just the USA, there wouldn't be much to publish. It is packed cover to cover about new construction everywhere else in the world.

Hell, we can't even build our own steam generators, reactor vessels, or other large capital pieces anymore.

We have been since All of the US companies sold out - a lot of years (although the names are still around)!

Where did the 'failed' San Onofre SG's come from - not here!

Yep, and ours are coming from Italy by way of Spain. Fortunately, U1's have been running just fine for a couple of years now.

It's nice to see one thing from the US. Does Toshiba make turbines here?

Nope, all major parts being manufactured in Japan.

There are some things being made here;

Hydranuts - Ohio
Squib Valves - California and Alabama
Strutural modules - Florida, Washington, Louisiana, Virginia

Also, one of the more interesting;
Cooling Water Tower Fans - Sao Paolo, Brazil  8) 8) 8)
