Very interesting read.  Thanks for sharing.  But that picture was messing with me.  Surely that's not a guy standing there next the elephant foot!!

That's the ghost of the guy that was standing there next to the elephant's foot!

The person in the background was a reflection from behind the photographer which used a mirror device to capture the image. At least that was what I read. Cant reproduce the source but it was one of the explanations.
