As sad as it is and sounds, I would bet (knowing the area) more than half of the  [SadPanda] commentators in the article have been opponents of the continued operation of VY for years.

I worked at VY on and off for years.  A lot of people in Brattleboro and surrounding communities hated it.  Just visit the Moles Eye in Cattleboro to get a taste of those opposing the plant.  Those who had their hands out for "donations" I like link it to extortion from Entergy now get to live with what they so desired.
