Title: Alevo, The Other Energy Storage Gigafactory
Post by: Marlin on May 11, 2016, 01:18

Not nuclear specifically but may impact it in the future. The biggest draw back to renewables is it's lack of a usable capacity factor storage units may help this especially on a localized grid such as a business, a farm, or home. This newer battery is an improvement on the Tesla Powerwall in the number of usable cycles and safety.

So, rows of batteries in a ConEx? I ended up going to the company webpage to read more. Very interesting concept, I'm still not sure how they cool them or if they need to. It says their batteries are resistant to extreme temperature fluctuations and are non-flammable, non-combustible.
