Title: NEW Small Modular Reactors
Post by: Cillus on Aug 14, 2017, 11:12
While reading the monthly issue of ANS Nuclear News I came across a new reactor that is much smaller in size and in cost.  The NuScale reactor is a modular design that creates 50 MW in one unit, and can be combined to create 600 MW with 12 units.  Do you guys think this could increase the amount of Nuclear Reactors we have and possibly bring them closer to large metropolitan areas?
