You know, its kind of funny that they use the term 'renewable' to describe solar, wind, hydroelectric, and geothermal energy. They are not renewable. There is a (for all intents and purposes) infinite (though in some cases unreliable) supply of 'fuel' but it is not 'renewed' (except for hydro, where the water is returned to higher elevations by evaporation and rainfall or even nuclear power.) Nuclear Fuel is closer to the real definition of 'renewable' (or was until jimmy Carter came along.) Neither are any of the aforementioned power sources 100% 'clean' but no one is talking about the problems with the chemicals used for making solar panels or the dead birds/noise/sight pollution from wind... or the occasional loss of an entire town when dams are built. Or what fracking for gas may be causing. But kill nuclear now, because... because... well, look at all the people that died as a result of TMI! And the China Syndrome!
