Sounds oh so similar to events that transpired post shutdown of one of the best performing and all time favorites to work at plants there was. That would of course be Kewaunee.Big D said this is what it is worth as it stands. A man and his loyal henchmen from Chicago convinced the local sod busters that is was worth ~ 50x that amount to the group that would buy it and fire it back up. The farmers bought in, decided to sue big D for the property tax delta, and all county residents not only lost all them great paying jobs and the merit they brought, but just for a little extra pain in the form of property tax increases to pay back big D on the ten year plan. Obviously numbers in the E+6 range. The ancient tug in the downtown harbor did get retrofitted with some new brass accoutrements. Hopefully lessons learned will preclude any potential future transactions such as harnessing all them BTUs currently being wasted in Magnastor village to keep winter hay dry and warm.
