"Lyman said the test reactor would be cooled with harder-to-control liquid sodium and likely fueled by plutonium, increasing potential nuclear terrorism risks because plutonium can be used to make nuclear weapons"
Fear mongering at its best right there. Why can't these "News" outlets get ACTUAL experts and not idiots from the Union of Concerned Sh**heads for all their articles involving anything Nuclear?

I agree with your sentiment. But I do like articles to come from both sides of the story. if you want a dissenting opinion you usually don't ask a pro nuclear power expert. I don't agree with both sides in this case, but there are worse groups to ask an opinion from than the union of concerned sh**heads. by the way, those sh**heads are FOR keeping all our nuclear plants open.

Don't let them fool you, those Concerned Sh**heads could give a rat's ass about Nuclear Power. Its a ploy to increase scenic pollution (wind) throughout this wonderful land.
"States that provide financial assistance to existing nuclear
plants also should strengthen policies that stimulate the
growth of low-carbon renewable energy—for example,
renewable electricity standards—as well as energy efficiency
programs and policies"

And the same ones who scream if one bird is killed on a nuclear plant site but are OK with millions of birds and bats chopped up by wind turbines or torched in the reflected beams of concentrated light in a solar farm.
