We have had several Spots for the last year or so here at St Lucie (most of them being prepped for other sites in the fleet, but two remaining here) and it has been very interesting to watch them develop. We have already used one in a power entry to go behind the bio-shield wall where the N-16s live. Recently they have been teaching them to do other things, too. The robots are amazing. The programmers have been working with a variety of cameras and sensors including infrared and lidar. Spot is good at climbing stairs and they can even teach him to open doors.
The development and modifications have been taking place right in the same room where I am working so I have a front row seat. To say it is fascinating is a major understatement.
Spot is not a bad dancer, either.
