Hello all,
I was an RP tech for a southern power company from 2010 to 2019. In 2019 I was dismissed for a drug charge involving legal and properly prescribed drugs which I regretfully did not disclose at the time . Obviously, this has been more than five years now. I never failed a FFD drug/alcohol test while employed. I am near retirement age and may interested in returning to the industry as a contractor tech. I don't believe this will be an obstacle as I served my 5 year ban and have not had charges of any kind since I left the industry. I am still working a an RP for a radiopharmaceutical company. I would appreciate any comments or suggestions and helpful suggestions regarding returning the to the industry.
Much appreciated,
Duff
The only regulatory 5 year denial in the entire industry is for a two time failure. If your words are true and Without seeing your denial letter, I believe that the company may have had their own stricter denial rules. If that is the case, you would have been eligible to reapply to any nuke plant 14 days after your denial. Which means...you can reapply in the industry today if you wanted to.
