Some clarification:
DG (Diesel Generator) roll : barring or rotating the diesel engine one complete rotation to make sure that no oil/fuel/water is in any of the cylinder prior to starting one up.
I am told that these sites DO NOT roll its DGs for a Normal DG start.
Braidwood
Byron
Diablo Canyon
Robinson
Seabrook
Any other sites?

I suppose someone is waiting for one of the more vocal resident OPS guys to answer this. Broadzilla, M1Ark, and yours truly fall into that category. But we have already discussed this in person or via second-party e-mails with "H1234".
So who else can shed some light on the subject. Generally, the question is about barring the EDG before a routine start.
Thanks

At Fermi, I don't remember barring them before start, but always hand bar them after shutdown.

At River Bend, 2 shaft revolutions prior to routine start, so rule that one out.

PI has Fairbanks-Morse diesels on Unit 1 and SACM diesels on Unit 2. We haven't rolled them prior to start in the time I've been here. We do air roll the F-M diesels after the run to make sure the oil is drained out. We have modified our shutdown lube oil system so the oil can't get all the way up into the cylinders and fill them up.
