State Legislators Examine Ways to Keep Nuclear Power Plants Open

As the Clean Energy Standard that New York recently approved demonstrates, state government action can have a salutary impact on achieving important energy goals. For the Empire State, assigning a value to nuclear energy facilities based on their clean electricity output will not only help keep at-risk nuclear power plants operating and help several counties maintain their economic well-being, the measure also will ensure that state emission reduction goals can be met.
