I've read some of the other posts that mention recruiters helping people get a foot in. Does anyone know of a recruiter that could help me get into Constellation energy in MD?

The only help I got was the Navy Times classified

Remember who you love. Remember what is sacred. Remember what is true.
Remember that you will die, and that this day is a gift. Remember how you wish to live, may the blessing of the Lord be with you

I know about Constellations website. I've applied for all jobs that I'm remotely qualified for. It seems that you only get hired there if you know someone who is high up and puts in the good word for you.

Start networking the best you can then.  Join a professional group like ANS or HPS, get to know people, get your foot in the door.  If that is what it takes, it seems pretty simple to be able to do that then.  Even being in the Navy, you can still get things done in between sea time and such.

If possible, try to get in the door as a contractor, maybe for an outage. Once inside you can talk to the right people, impress your bosses with your work ethic.
I've seen plenty of people get started this way, including a friend of mine who washed dishes for the site cafeteria; now he's a NLO.

Nope. Another Florida plant. He did it on merit only, as he was not a member of the 'good ol boy network'..
But we've all seen plenty of what you're talking about, unfortunately.
