I know a lot of you know Dan Blackburn from Russellville, Arkansas.  He passed away apparently sometime last night.  He had been in a coma in the hospital for several days.  He was married to Lillian Grice Blackburn.  I don't know anymore at this time.

Very sad indeed....He will truely be missed....Always an upbeat guy....He will always be remembered for his great stories and his wonderful drawings....that brought everyday RP mishaps into a great story...The missing hook on the milk carton...was one of my favorites.  RIP Dan..u will truely be missed and remembered.

Again saddened of another long time coworker and a friend has passed. I met Dan in 86 at ANO during the first Aux release. The good times and memories. the one thats stands among many is when while I was standing at the Dosimertry shack on the turbo. he came up from behind playing around and bear hugged me but by doing so he pressed my pen into my ribs so hard he ( found out later that week) cracked 3 of my ribs but at the time he did he ran so fast that when i opened my eyes a pregnant lady was standing over which made me think it was her. Dan will be missed by all he touched. R.I.P my friend
I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand

Dan was a great guy, I also met him at ANO in 87, working turbine. I received one of his bear hugs that made it hard for me to breathe for a few days. I was glad to run in to him at VY for their last outage, we had lunch during training together and got to see quiet a bit of each other during outage. Prayers to all the family and RIP old friend!

Worked a lot with Dan. Quick with a joke and a drawing. Good with both.
