If you rummage around the DOE website, you may will find this

http://www.hss.energy.gov/nuclearsafety/ns/techstds/standard/hdbk1122-04/module_201_study_guide.pdf

or this

http://homer.ornl.gov/nuclearsafety/ns/techstds/standard/archive.html

or this

http://www.osti.gov/bridge/product.biblio.jsp?osti_id=145829

Just query the DOE sites for radiological training and a bunch of free training manuals will pop-up.

ANL, LANL, ORNL, or maybe LLNL may have the Moe manual on-line

Good luck and see you later...

Hi

I'm currently enrolled in the LTC program. I plan to earn the Nuclear Technology Associate Degree with Radiation Safety Concentration. I have been at it for two full years now because I work full time. I should complete the program next June 2010.

When I was enrolled in the 3 fundamental courses, the primary textbooks used were Basic Radiation Protection Technology, 5th edition, Daniel A. Gollnick and mathematics review for Health Physics Technicians, 3rd edition, K. Paul Steinmeyer & Paul R. Steinmeyer.

I beleive that the LTC bookstore has both titles available.
