As someone who was deeply involved in beryllium exposure monitoring and programs since the mid-90s, it's not as bad as everyone is making it to be.

Just testing positive on the bloodtest doesn't mean a lot.  Lots of false negatives.  Retesting is a must. Actually, the smart folks who worked around it and are in good health chose not to be tested just because the insurance companies will get a hold of the information and drop you. Even if most folks with positive blood tests never get CBD.

This is a very interesting twist. I agree that a positive on the BLPT only indicates that one "may" be prone to a reaction (CBD) when exposed to Beryllium. I have not heard that insurance companies are using this. Goes to show you those b******'S will use anything. Sad
