I wonder where he bought his watch?

"Prague, Oct 4 (CTK) - Experts from the Czech Nuclear Research Institute (UJV) in Rez near Prague have not managed to reveal the origin of a radioactive metal roller that was found at a children's playground in Prague last week, UJV secretary Miroslav Hrehor told today's issue of Lidove noviny (LN)."

"The radiation was measured by a man who was walking at the playground along with his son last Wednesday evening.

His wrist watch, with a radiation measurement device, started peeping. He then went home for another dosimeter that confirmed the increased values. The measured values were five times over the limit."

It should convert Sievert to Rem for me.  I don't like thinking.

I e-mailed the company on the status of the watch and got the following response. I will post agin if they start making the watch again.

I am sorry for not being able to help you.

We had to stop working on the GammaWatch project for a while because we got too busy with our core business (radiation safety in uranium mines.)

We will send you an email when we get back into it.

Regards,

Environmental Instruments Canada Inc.

GammaWatch is not producing another watch but they do have a bluetooth application for a small portable detector now.
