Not familiar with the Augusta area near Vogtle, so does anyone have any suggestions for accommodations during the outage that won't eat up the per diem check ;)

Looking at the concrete support, I wonder if they used the same cake pan molds as the new containment pours

It's refreshing to see that the sense of humor hasn't changed either in 17 years :-\

I have worked plant Vogtle and SRS Waynesboro, Beech Island and Augusta are the cities around there probably around 20-25 mile drives the only thing close to the site are some cabins that were around 100 bucks per week, they were furnished cant remember the name of them. Very nice people they are happy to have help. Stay away from the south end of Augusta.
Good Luck

I truly appreciate your suggestion. South Augusta entails which main streets or area to avoid?

Its the red light district cant miss it. I think its Broad street? not sure There are some good restaurants around there Mellow Mushroom has excellent pizzas. Washington road is where the bars and restaurants are takes you right by Augusta National home of the Masters.
