   I would add reprocessing and high level disposal to this argument. Many "Greens" who saw nuclear as the great Satan now see it as the global savior for carbon reduction.

The US will produce all the enriched uranium it needs if the price of uranium ever goes up and there isn't a shortage. It's the biggest reason USEC went bankrupt. They intended on selling their uranium reserves at a higher price and the market collapsed.  The author fails to mention AVLIS or the SILEX uranium process in NC.
