Let me see, that's Shaw/Stone & Webster/Foster Wheeler (CB& et all) selling to MK Ferguson/Washington Group/URS/AECOM and running the contract under the fossilized Westinghouse name......and Shaw previously owned part of Westinghouse.

Any idea which hat the ex CB&I employees at Vogtle/VC Summer will wear now, Westinghouse or Fluor?

Just a guess:
Upper management-Westinghouse
Field Supervision and craft-Fluor

Big potential future unknown. Fluor is the deep pockets behind NuScale. If Fluor gets stretched too thin, and they don't see a potential for payback with NuScale....

They were also just recently awarded the site contract at Comanche Peak.

The current plan is that everyone who makes up Stone and Webster, whichever entities that may be, will become WEC.

Fluor is being brought in to be the project management firm, at least for our project (V. C. Summer 2 and 3).

In all likelihood, craft/trade will see no changes other than the name on their hardhats.  The management team here.......that may be an entirely different story.

I'll check back in as more info is provided to us.

Thanks HeavyD.  It sounds like future job openings (Planning, Engineering, etc.) will be thru Westinghouse?

We don't know yet.

Probably, but that is pure speculation at this point.

Over the next 30 days or so the picture should start to become more clear.
