Which plants have closed prematurely?

Seriously??? We have plants being extended to 80 years and some closed prior to the anticipated lifespan. Due to economics but still premature. Shoreham never came on line.

Shoreham should never have been built.

Name a plant decommissioned prior to its 40 year license expiring

TVA

Dont say Crystal River. Stupidity broke that plant

Shoreham, Rancho Seco, TMI, and why just at the 40 year mark when we are starting to extend to 80 years nice metric but not really relevant.

Never had a full power license. Fact is you can't

So you are right based on your metric that only shutdowns prior to 40 count. So there is a 5% license and then a 40 year license not just permission to exceed 5%? I always thought there was a two step license for construction and one operation.

Check out Zion 1 and 2 and there are a few more on the list, didn't take long to find this.
