After two years of electrical power rate hikes that are directly attributed (per every news source) to the shutdown and planned closure of Indian Point, maybe it's time to consider reopening.  How many complaints do they need?   Does the NYC metro area really want to suffer with electrical rates that will start reaching New England power rate levels?  How is closure of nuclear and relying on gas turbines helping their carbon reduction?

  • How much am I getting for this?
Andrew Cuomo was bought and paid for by anti-nuke zealots! (Among others!) Kathleen Hochul is no better! In fact she's arguably worse! Glad I don't live in NY anymore!

I'd buy that except the State of New York loves their upstate nuclear reactors.   There may be anti-nukes in NYC, but they'll be drowned out by the power bill complaints.  Doesn't answer carbon footprint narratives either.
