Provides support to the corrective action program; assists station personnel with the assignment and use of the corrective action process. Supports the coordination of the station work observation program, in addition to helping to maintain the station self-assessment and benchmark program. This role is the intermediate or fully proficient level of a three-level job series responsible for developing and implementing nuclear power plant performance monitoring processes and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation. Implements corrective action programs and participates in and/or facilitates root-cause analysis and self-assessment teams on corrective action cases. This level is distinguished from the Nuclear Performance Improvement Specialist I by the increased complexity of technical and analytical skills and plant and process knowledge. Continues to build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Performs a range of mainly straightforward assignments. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction from more senior staff.

This level is responsible for maintaining the corrective action program and assisting station personnel in its use with guidance as needed. Implements corrective action programs and participates in and/or facilitates root-cause analysis and self-assessment teams on corrective action cases. Applies in-depth knowledge of performance monitoring processes, procedures to solve complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions. May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives. Serves as a resource for colleagues with less experience, to determine significance and level of effort for adverse station conditions, including in-depth working knowledge of Operating Experience process and interface with 10CFR21. This position works closely with management as the champion of the corrective actions process to ensure adverse conditions and trends are discovered and acted upon in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

About the role: The Project Manager position will be located onsite in Bridgman, MI. You will report to the client management team. This is a great long-term contract opportunity to be a part of some exciting projects for upgrades, replacements or new installation.

Key Responsibilities:

Achieve Project Goals
Advise Project Sponsor of issues that can adversely affect meeting Project Objectives
Conduct business analyses and feasibility studies for proposed projects.
Develop functional requirements for the project.
Develop the project budget including ROI analyses.
Evaluate all technologies and systems needed.
Develop and obtain resource needs for project development and implementation including outside services
Participate as, or assign tasks of, client representative in corporate or industry plans related to the project.
Develop project plans, schedules, resource requirements, milestones, and performance indicators.
Manage project close-out upon completion, including an analysis of the project's success in meeting the ROI goals.
Provide reports to Senior Management and the station on the status of the project and progress on project goals.
Prepare and administer budget plans to manage expenses within the established guidelines.
Support and participate in the Corrective Action Program activities as assigned, and following procedures applicable for the assigned role.
Perform all tasks, and work with other employees in a safe manner, in compliance with appropriate company safety policies and rules.
Assume responsibility for upgrading knowledge and skill.
Perform tasks that may involve work in hazardous areas and possible radiation exposure within the limits prescribed by the NRC.
Manage all radiological control work practices and contamination control program requirements. Identify and correct improper contamination control practices. Track and trend data to identify recurring problems and implement corrective action.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics or related technical field, or equivalent education or experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) desired but not required.
Five (5) years' experience in commercial nuclear power; demonstrated ability in project management.
The assigned project may require special skills related to its area.
Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD oil), and employment testing.

radiation and contamination surveys

ALARA planning

Help with decontamination activities

Qualifications:

Senior Health Physics Technician 3.1A or above. (3.1A requires 2,000 hours of commercial nuclear power combined with a systematic approach to training).

Knowledge of radiation safety principles, regulations, and industry standards.

Knowledge of radiation detection and measurement equipment, including calibration and quality control.
