PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Under direct supervision, on shift, performs radiological, environmental and associated tasks in accordance with approved procedures and surveillance requirements.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Under general supervision, performs radiological and associated tasks which the apprentice has completed in the Apprenticeship Program.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and housekeeping of workshops and equipment in current work areas.
  • Completes training in the Apprenticeship Program at the pace and knowledge level prescribed in the Apprentice and Training standard.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have two (2) years college level physical science education, including one (1) year of mathematics, chemistry and physics or equivalent.
  • Must have no restrictions preventing use of respiratory equipment or preventing the performance of radiological and associated work tasks.
  • Must have no physical or age restrictions preventing radiation exposure within Federal limits for radiation workers.
  • Must pass aptitude test.
  • Must demonstrate dexterity for the Radiological trade.
  • Must be accepted by the Apprentice Committee as an Apprentice Radiological Technician.

Starting hourly rate is $34.70
