Engineer 2A - Expected salary range of $93,600 to $104,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

 

Engineer 2B - Expected salary range of $99,000 to $110,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

 

Engineer 3A - Expected salary range of $115,200 to $128,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

LOCATION

This is a Hybrid role which can be based out of any of our Nuclear facilities. Candidates must reside within driving distance of a Constellation Nuclear facility.  As a hybrid role this position offer the flexibility to work from home, however, an on-site presence will be required for initial trainings and required ongoing training & learning opportunities, as directed by your leadership (and/or required by the facility). Additionally, occasional travel to Constellation office locations and other Nuclear facilities may be required for Moments that Matter meetings. 

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION 

Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of Power plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations. Possesses specialty skills and performs advanced tasks independently with minimal supervisory review. Performs engineering tasks independently and actively impart expert knowledge to others. . Must be able to manage and implement engineering analysis and technical programs. Has wide latitude to make technical decisions within accountabilities.
Department Specific Roles/Responsibilities: Engineering Defend the plant design and licensing basis. Preparation and approval of design outputs and plant changes in accordance with approved processes and design requirements. Support installation and testing of plant systems and components and facility changes. Ensure the plant's physical and functional characteristics are accurately reflected in the plant documents.

 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Engineer 2A

  • Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles.
  • Assure all engineering products prepared are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of effective processes and techniques at appropriate levels of detail and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Recommend format and methodology improvements to standard processes and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Engineer 2B

  • Responsible for performing engineering and technical tasks, under general supervision, in support of Power plant operations.
  • Assure all engineering products prepared are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of effective processes and techniques at appropriate levels of detail and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Recommend format and methodology improvements to standard processes and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Engineer 3A

  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
  • Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
  • Provide complete task management of engineering issues.
  • Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles.
  • Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects.
  • Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.

REQUIREMENTS&nb sp;

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Engineer 2A

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Science or related field with 2 years experience
  • 1-year nuclear or related engineering experience
  • * Current Employees Only: Must have completed engineering training and assigned job specific qualifications and skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Engineer 2B

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or science or related field with 3 years experience
  • * Current Employees Only: Must have 1-year of experience as Engineer 2A 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Engineer 3A

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Science and 5 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant equivalent experience in lieu of the degree
  • * Current Employees Only: Demonstrated solid or better results for at least 2-years and works independently in assigned areas of knowledge and skills
  • * Current Employees Only: Demonstrated ability to assist and mentor junior engineers on technical, as well as, HU/THU fundamentals

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Engineer 2A

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) or related science
  • Electrical Engineering degree, highly preferred
  • Engineering experience in the Nuclear or Utility industry 
  • Procurement Engineer experience 
  • * Current Employees Only: Solid understanding of core functions performed by the team, with a strong grasp of relevant techniques and processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Engineer 2B

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) or related science
  • Electrical Engineering degree, highly preferred
  • Procurement Engineer experience 
  • Engineering experience in the Nuclear or Utility industry 
  • * Current Employees Only: Demonstrated solid or better results for at least 2-years and demonstrates progress in developing at least half of the key knowledge and skills of a Senior Engineer

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Engineer 3A

  • Electrical Engineering degree, highly preferred
  • Procurement Engineer experience 
  • Engineering experience in the Nuclear or Utility industry 
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers in key knowledge and skills.
