Job description
GEOLOGY ENGINEER

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

* Candidate provides technical support services for regulatory and technical support related to modifications to the Hazardous Waste Facility Permit (HWFP Permit) and the 2020 Renewal Permit Application. Duties include performing geological assessments in support of Permit Modification Requests (PMRs), support for document preparation, editing and review including updating original work related to the geological characterization of the WIPP Site and region around the site, attending meetings and presenting information, and providing oral and written testimony in support of hearings for the renewal application and for the Class 3 PMR, Excavation of New Shaft and Associated Drifts.

* This position requires an advanced degree in Geology or Geological Engineering, plus 20 years of related experience.
