Job Description
Oversee the development of maintenance programs such as foreign material exclusion (FME), Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE) and others. Lead efforts to implement Operations Management System (OMS) modules to improve implementation success. Ensure that programs comply with regulatory requirements, industry best practices and standards for nuclear safety.

1. Maintenance Program Delivery

Develop the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) Maintenance programs such as Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE), Foreign Material Exclusion (FME), Rigging and Lifting to ensure safe and reliable operation of the plants.
Supervise maintenance specialists involved in providing or reviewing maintenance programs and procedures to ensure quality work is being delivered.
Lead efforts to implement relevant Operations Management System (OMS) modules related to Maintenance Programs to improve implementation success, including liaison with Work Management, Operations, Outage Management and Plant Engineering.
Oversee maintenance activities performed by Long Term Maintenance Strategies (LTMS) contractors and BNPP staff to ensure compliance to Maintenance Programs.
Prepare for World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) peer reviews in regard to Maintenance Programs to ensure accurate communication of the programs.
Monitor Maintenance Work Management (WM) targets to allow for modifications of programs as necessary.
Review the OMS data and make corrections as required to ensure data accuracy.
Review maintenance history quality and record keeping to ensure compliance with regulations.
Oversee maintenance statutory compliance (ISI, IST, PdM, etc.) and trend results to identify compliance issues.

2. Staff Training and Qualification

Develop management expectations and communicate with department to ensure high level of safety and reliability of plant systems.
Monitor training effectiveness and consult with training staff to improve training effectiveness. Critically evaluate performance of individual staff to develop necessary training.
Verify that training programs provide necessary technical knowledge and skills to ensure staff are properly trained and qualified to conduct assigned responsibilities.
Provide training feedback on program effectiveness with evaluation of performance to ensure quality of training and qualification program.
Participate in all required initial and continuous training courses and requirements to attain and maintain the required qualification and certification in areas of specialization.

3. Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support

Support outage and/or the ERO, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support.

4. Operational Planning

Provide input into the development of the Department’s systems and processes, as well develop and implement the Section’s procedures, identifying opportunities for the continuous improvement of practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
Monitor, control and report Operational and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the Section, to track performance and recommend corrective or mitigating actions.
Ensure that all relative reports are prepared timely and accurately, to meet the Section’s requirements and standards.

5. Health and Safety and Security

Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Division/Department/Section by the delivery of the Health and Safety Management Program to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality services and a responsible environmental attitude.
Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and Corporate assets.
Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to Crisis Management and Business Continuity in order to continue mission critical activities.

6. People Management

Manage the effective achievement of the Organization’s objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, and providing formal and informal constructive feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and department performance.
Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiratization strategy.
Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of UAE Nationals where applicable and maximize their effective performance.

7. Excellence and Quality Management

Ensure commitment to a culture of continuous improvement by eliminating waste, following operations procedures, practicing innovation, problem solving, and teamwork; complying with Quality Management System policies and procedures; providing and receiving constructive feedback, and striving to meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
Ensure Commitment to the Nawah Fundamentals.

Description of ideal candidate
Bachelor of Science or equivalent Degree.
7 years of relevant experience.
English: As per OR-PRC-0001
