Job description
Summary
Responsible for, under minimal supervision, participating in implementation, enforcement, and maintenance activities of the URENCO USA (UUSA) Industrial Safety and Chemical Safety Programs.
Responsibilities
•        Responsible for assisting in the implementation, enforcement, and maintenance of UUSA industrial and chemical safety programs in accordance with company initiatives and all applicable state and federal guidelines.
•        Support implementation of URENCO group-wide industrial safety program campaign
•        Support audits, surveillances, inspections, and assessments by quality assurance and external regulating organizations.
•        Assist with development and training of UUSA employees to support all aspects of industrial and chemical safety.
•        Analyze unsafe conditions and assist in developing corrective action plans.
•        Conduct incident investigations.
•        Prepare and submit regular reports to appropriate government agencies.
•        Perform and review basic analyses, calculations, and evaluations in support of the facility and assigned programs and projects.

Description of ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial safety, occupational safety & health or other related field, and three to five years’ experience in health & safety and/or emergency preparedness.
