Expected base hourly range of $28.02 to $34.26, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

 

Primary Purpose of Position

The Journeyman HVAC Installer installs and modifies existing residential HVAC equipment and all types of related products according to installation instructions, supervisor instructions, and all applicable county or city codes, which includes performing miscellaneous troubleshooting and repairs, modifying and fabricating sheet metal as needed per installation, and identifying any electrical, plumbing, and/or safety problems that apply to the installation and take necessary corrective action.

 

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Assists in advanced applications of home comfort products.
  • Performs clerical duties necessary to complete job work orders.
  • Performs independent work in residential heating and air conditioning, replacement applications, residential plumbing and gas piping, residential flue venting, and residential sheet metal ducting applications.
  • Trains others in general work skills related to residential home comfort applications and residential HVAC installation applications.
  • Maintains proper truck stock and equipment maintenance.
  • Works independently or under direct supervision, applying established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Journeyman HVAC Installer  

  • 3-years of experience in residential HVAC installations
  • Eligibility to meet Company driving standards, including possession of a valid driver's license
  • State Journeyman HVAC license
  • Levels I & II CFC Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Willing and available to work overtime when required
  • Possess basic hand tools to properly perform job requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sheet metal skills, copper, and gas piping installations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of residential gas and electric heating furnaces and residential hot water heaters

 

Minimum Qualifications: Sr Journeyman HVAC Installer 

  • State Journeyman HVAC license
  • Levels I & II CFC Certification
  • 5-years of experience in residential HVAC installations
  • Possess necessary sheet metal, refrigeration, and troubleshooting tools required for daily work assignments
  • Eligibility to meet Company driving standards, including possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Possess basic hand tools to properly perform job requirements
  • Willing and available to work overtime when required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid gas fitter's license
  • Possession of a Maryland 2 lb certification
