Expected hourly range of $29.49 to $32.77, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k). In addition to your hourly wage, this role has additional earning potential through voluntary overtime and task work opportunities dependent on business need.

Primary Purpose of Position

The Plumbing Service Journeyman is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing fixtures and piping. This role should be able to demonstrate excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills as well as achieve exceptional customer service. Routine tasks to include repair or replacement of faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, domestic water lines, and drain lines.

 

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Inspect, install, repair, and replace pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain the water supply and waste disposal systems.
  • Diagnose plumbing problems and work to resolve them efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and applicable electrical and plumbing requirements during installation and repair, identifying and correcting issues as needed.
  • Operate various tools and equipment such as pipe cutters, reamers, threading machines, and welding equipment.
  • Provide rough estimates to customers on how much it will cost to repair damaged or malfunctioning fixtures or piping.
  • Maintain an accurate record of all items/parts used to repair, replace, or maintain plumbing fixtures and piping.
  • Promote the sale of other services offered by Constellation Home to customers.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Journeyman trade license in Plumbing
  • Experience working in plumbing service
  • Valid gas fitter's license
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of residential plumbing service, including local plumbing and gas codes, tools, and materials
  • Advanced skills in the servicing of hot water and steam boilers
  • Advanced ability in the usage of sewer cleaning machines
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Average physical ability (bending, stopping, and climbing ladders)
  • Ability to lift and carry objects of various weights
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively with minimal supervision
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
