Spectra Tech is seeking a Manufacturing Scheduler for Coconut Creek, FL.
Job Description:
The Manufacturing Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules for manufactured products. This role ensures optimal use of labor, equipment, and raw materials while meeting customer demand, quality standards, and delivery deadlines.
Responsibilities
· Create daily and weekly production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels
· Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow
· Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays or disruptions
· Ensure efficient utilization of ovens, mixers, proofers, and packaging lines
· Maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw materials
· Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards
· Analyze production data to improve scheduling efficiency and reduce downtime
· Communicate schedule changes clearly to relevant departments
· Plan for maintenance downtime and adjust schedules accordingly
· Support continuous improvement initiatives in production planning
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred)
Experience Level:
2+ years of experience in production scheduling, preferably in food manufacturing
Familiarity with food manufacturing operations and production processes
Experience with ERP or production planning software
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
