Job description
Maritime Industrial/Craft Recruiter - Norfolk, VA
Position is a large division expansion of BHI Energy within the Maritime Industry. This position will service BHI Energy to execute skilled trades staffing needs across client shipyard sites. The recruiter will play a key role in developing a candidate pool of scaffold builders for various shipyards across the United States. Candidate will lead the overall recruiting strategy, shipyard reporting requirements, metrics, fill ratios, and craft database development in the maritime sector.

*Recruits and Develops a pipeline of various craft positions for work at multiple shipyard locations on the East Coast. Includes shipfitters, structural welders and machinists.
*Attends networking and job fair events.
*Assists with on-boarding/off-boarding of personnel, PPE, safety, background/drug screening and orientation to client.
*Screens and interviews candidates adhering to EEO and ADA guidelines
*Works with Recruiting Management to develop recruiting strategies
*Adheres to set KPI’s, activity levels, and reporting
*Strong communication and negotiation skills
*Will work will various recruiting and client systems to document activity for internal/external purposes.

Job Requirements:

Ideal candidate will have direct maritime shipyard recruiting experience staffing large craft non-union projects. Strong knowledge of base of shipyard requirements, processes, safety, local recruitment, network of skilled trades personnel.
*Documented Recruiting experience in the Maritime industry.
*Experience using Proactive Recruiting Tools such as: LinkedIn, Monster, CareerBuilder, Indeed, Industry Associations, Networking with User’s Groups, Applicant Tracking Systems, Job Fairs, Ad campaigns, Skilled Trade Associations, and other recommended platforms.
*Three (3) plus years Agency or Corporate recruiting experience with proven track record of staffing craft positions in the shipyard industry.
*Three (3) years of experience leading or managing a team of recruiters.
*Ability to lead, take-charge, drive new requisition skill sets, and increase market share.
Ability to work on evenings and weekends as projects may require to meet and exceed deadlines.
*Ability to successfully pass Background Screening and Drug Testing for access on to Client’s shipyard sites
*Must be a US citizen
