Outage Control Center (OCC) Superintendent
The Outage Control Center Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the outage schedule and tracking the execution of the schedule.
*Attend the OCC meeting reporting on current status, any deviations from schedule, schedule adjustments as needed, and schedule updates.
*Track all emergent issues and give the status as needed to the Plant OCC Manager.
*Track all critical path status and report to the Plant OCC Manager.
*Reconcile the scope of work by review of the project schedule with the work steps specified in the work packages.
*Estimate the activity durations in collaboration with Operations. As work packages are released by Engineering, craft work-hour requirements are estimated for each step.
*Validate and baseline the Integrated Schedule (IS) considering all internal and external dependencies supported by round table reviews with all project participants.
*Compile and publish the work scripts which present the detailed steps specified in the work package for each current schedule activity.
*Validate the reported progress and calculated critical path. Ensure all necessary input and progress mark-ups are provided in time to support the daily update cycle including schedule recalculation deadlines and shift turnover meetings.
*Communicate schedule performance effectively in accordance with Communication Plan for Scheduling which includes milestone schedules and supporting level of activities, logic diagrams, percent complete curves with earned value calculations, status table, and look-ahead plans.
*Perform other duties as assigned.

The employee will spend their time in an office environment as well as an industrial environment observing employees, their progress with assigned work, and interfacing with both employees and client employees with a moderate to high noise level. The employee is required to don the appropriate personal protective equipment while traversing an industrial environment requiring various degrees of protection.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
An ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and ideally an Associates’ degree in business or a related field. Must have five (5) years’ experience in managing schedules, including three (3) years’ experience using scheduling software to schedule various projects. Experience with scheduling Nuclear projects is preferred. Proven ability to demonstrate a high level of ethical behavior, integrity and trust. Knowledge of BHI Energy processes and procedures and utilization of developed tools to most effectively manage work is essential. Must actively demonstrate the BHI company values and support the BHI Ethics and Standards. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a working knowledge of BHI and client technical manuals and procedures; to pass BHI and client specific training and qualifications as required; subject to personnel call out as required in support of nuclear station emergent work requirements; to work overtime, to include shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed; and be able to pass all background and screening requirements for the position, to include drug and/or alcohol screening.
