Job description
SUMMARY
Plans, performs, reports, and follows-up on independent oversight of functional area(s). Documents and discusses oversight results in the appropriate format and verifies adequacy of corrective actions. 

EDUCATION
•    High School/GED or equivalent (Required)
•    Bachelor's degree in engineering or science discipline (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE
•    10 years of experience in commercial nuclear power. (Required)
•    8 years of nuclear oversight responsibilities including qualified audit team lead, or 5 years Accredited Training program implementation. (Preferred)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
•    Quality Auditor (Preferred)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALITY OVERSIGHT:
Selects areas for quality oversight, develops quality oversight plans/checklists, and evaluates oversight activity results.
•    Prepares quality oversight activity related correspondence.
•    Participates in pre-oversight and post-oversight conferences.
•    Interviews personnel during quality oversight activities.
•    Observes activities review documentation and evaluates and documents activity results.
•    Initiates deficiency documentation and evaluates responses to deficiency documents and recommendations.
•    Verifies adequacy of corrective actions and prepares oversight activity reports.

QUALITY PROGRAM SUPPORT:
Provides input to and participates in departmental quality planning activities and reviews quality procedures/program documents.
•    Leads Audits, Assessments, or Evaluations.
•    Supports site programs (e.g., Emergency Response, Industrial Safety, Housekeeping, etc.) as assigned or appropriate.
•    Reviews and verifies licensing document submittals.
•    Stays informed of changes in plant systems and programs.
•    Interfaces with and provides Quality counsel to customer organizations.
•    Participates in industry conferences/forums.

CONSULTING (STATION EXPERT):
•    Demonstrates extensive station knowledge of systems, processes or programs that are critical to the success of the station and assumes a leadership role in area of expertise.
•    Functions as a recognized station authority in their area of expertise.
•    Develops operational recommendations in specialized area that are critical to the success of the station; recommendations are consistently recognized and accepted by management.

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
•    Demonstrates leadership and is a mentor and teacher to others in area of expertise.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES 
•    Accept Outage position.
•    Accept ERO position and be able to meet the response requirements.
•    Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access if needed. 
•    Successfully complete General Employee Training (GET) as required for position.

ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•    Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 lbs; ascending/descending stairs; sitting for extended periods of time; and spending considerable time in front of computer monitors.

WORKING CONDITIONS
•    Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
•    Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
•    Travel may be required.
•    May be required to carry a phone.

•    Site – Due to the nature of the work, this position requires work to be performed in the field and/or at the work site.
