Primary Purpose of Position

The Senior Business Development Manager (BDM) is a member of the Arise Energy sales organization and is responsible for supporting customer acquisition and business development efforts for the Arise digital platform. In this role, the Senior BDM partners closely with the Sales Manager to prospect targeted customers and guide them toward the Arise Energy digital customer acquisition platform. The position focuses on proactive engagement with potential customers, including outreach to warm leads identified by the Sales Manager and introducing prospective clients to the capabilities and value of the Arise platform. The Senior BDM also supports broader marketing and relationship development efforts by networking with potential customers at industry events, leveraging existing market contacts and relationships, and contributing to prospecting activities that expand awareness of the platform. In addition, the role provides sales support to both existing accounts and prospective customers to help ensure a positive customer experience and continued business growth. Arise Energy was founded with the mission of making corporate energy purchasing easier. Its proprietary self service online platform enables customers to take control of their energy purchasing decisions, while a client focused team of advisors helps organizations achieve cost, budget, and sustainability goals. Arise Energy operates as an independent subsidiary of Constellation, a Fortune 200 clean energy leader.

  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of prospective Arise Energy platform customers while also tracking opportunities outside current platform parameters, including natural gas opportunities, managed products, large RFPs, and Constellation Navigator opportunities.
  • Guide prospective customers through the digital customer journey from account setup through contract execution, including quote requests and responses, plan comparison and selection, and contract execution, using web based meeting tools such as MS Teams and Zoom.
  • Respond to and resolve prospective customer inquiries and concerns through chat, email, and phone channels by identifying and classifying issues, coordinating with internal pricing, technology, and operations teams and third party energy suppliers, and tracking resolution through CRM and service systems.
  • Collaborate with leadership, the digital product team, and marketing to identify opportunities to improve the digital customer experience and recommend enhancements to processes, procedures, and platform functionality based on customer interactions and market insights.
