Job description
Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Sr. Project Engineer opportunity for our customer in Oak Ridge, TN for the Y-12 National Security Complex. DOE Q Clearance Required.

Position Overview:
•        Provide Project Engineering support and coordination for the 9212 Systems Isolation initiative, which consists of design, installation, and cleanout tasks. This initiative is an important element of the Uranium Sustainment program mission.
•        Provide technical integration, leadership, guidance, and direction to other multi-disciplined engineering teams.
•        Apply ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) requirements for work in nuclear facilities.
•        Plan and direct the engineering activities on projects.
•        Establish detailed project design scope, budgets, and schedules.
•        Professionally coordinate engineering efforts with Production, Maintenance, Project Management, Construction, Startup, and Project Controls teams.
•        Review project engineering progress against approved schedules and take corrective action when needed.

Requirements:
•        Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 10+ years of project engineering experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
•        Active Q level security clearance.
•        Good written and oral communication skills necessary.
•        Prior NNSA / DOE experience preferred.
