Job description
The position requires specialized experience in design, fabrication and assembly of large scale fusion energy, research related, or nuclear hardware. Requires a demonstrated ability to independently evaluate problems, investigate and propose solutions, perform calculations, apply industry and European codes and standards, and document design and fabrication activities. Requires demonstrated ability to manage and plan a design activity, plan and direct work of analysis and interface effectively with management. The successful candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills. The candidate should also have experience in interpreting engineering codes, and construction standards, techniques and criteria.
Qualifications Desired:
Advanced Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is desired. 10+ years of specialized experience in design, fabrication and assembly of large scale fusion energy, research related, or nuclear hardware is desired.
Desired Skills:
Piping support analysis and design using STAAD.Pro and ANSYS
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage preparation of design documents
Demonstrated knowledge in utilizing and managing CAD software for preparation of
analysis de-featuring. CATIA experience and ANSYS Spaceclaim desired
Ability to utilize MS Office tools

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate with
members of the organization at all levels
Ability to manage fabrication and evaluate non-conformances and deviations from
drawings, technical specifications, and requirements
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with a diverse project team
Embed plate design and analysis
Demonstrated ability to prepare technical specifications, statements of work, procedure
