Job description

This is a temporary role from May-August. Pay is $18/hr.

 

An integral part of the Intern function will be the ordering, expediting and searching for alternate suppliers to fulfill parts on back order and for least cost alternate suppliers. A proactive approach to customer communication on parts ordering and ETA status. Expediting parts ordered for fulfillment, maintaining a daily log of parts ordered and receipt to ensure premier customer service through timely delivery.   

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (essential job functions)

Assist in ordering, procurement, facilitation, and processing of parts, accessories and materials.

Interact with suppliers on a daily basis to ensure parts are delivered same day/next day as needed. Keeps and updates expediting records for all orders processed

Acts as a liaison between product suppliers and manufacturers and divisions of the company, as well as the consumer, with respect to product updates and customer service.

 

Job Specifications:

Knowledge:

General knowledge of Company operations, and ability to learn specific operations of division to which assigned. Knowledge of HVAC service/repair industry for residential and commercial equipment a plus.

 

Skills/Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, management, internal personnel and customers. Computer literate with ability to understand data supplied in Great Plains and CRM, to effectively order and manage the purchasing process for parts fulfillment.

Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Excel to process reports.

 

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Other (including physical requirements, working conditions, etc.):

Must be available to work overtime as workload requires including some Saturdays. Will spend an extensive amount of time with system applications, supplier and customer interaction, and other procurement related activities.
