Job description
Job Description Summary: The scope of this role is to develop both web-based and classroom training for NREL workers, including all course materials, exercises, and skills evaluations.



REMOTE ROLE

Duties Shall Generally Include:

· Responsible for coordinating and maintaining NREL’s e-learning offerings in conjunction with facilitator-led offerings within the LMS by posting and updating training content, course materials, assessment, job tutorials, and job aids.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Attributes:

· Direct, recent experience with e-learning development, instructional design (including curricula), training methodologies, and online education.

· In-depth, hands-on knowledge of authoring technologies, intranet design tools, and multimedia applications.

· Experience administering and deploying enterprise-wide systems, such as a corporate LMS. Experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs, including developing web-based training and asynchronous learning content. Strong familiarity with recognized e-learning technical standards and requirements (SCORM, etc).

· Experience developing rapid, just-in-time content development using an authoring tool such as Articulate or Captivate.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with graphic design and video production, including deploying learning modules via mobile devices. Experience using social media as a means of learning.

· Experience working with safety and health regulatory standards.

· General knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards used in workplace ESH&Q organizations.
