Job description
SUMMARY
Coordinates and safely implements the Authorized Work Schedule and Emergent activities. Includes the evaluation of activities for Work Risk, Operational and Reactivity impact. Interfaces with the schedulers to ensure schedule is accurate, timely, complete and properly maintained. Assists in the development, implementation, analysis, and reporting of performance against established site and department goals/performance indicators for the assigned department. Participates in the development of corrective actions to address adverse trends detected based on performance indicator results or to address Areas for Improvement identified in self-assessments.

EDUCATION
        •        Other: Current or previous RO or SRO License. Without a current or previous RO or SRO License, five years' experience in nuclear plant operations
(journeyman level of above) or maintenance scheduling with knowledge of nuclear plant operations. (Required)

EXPERIENCE
•        2 Years + experience in Plant operations as a RO (3 years required) with at least 1 year of experience at STP. (Required)
•        0 - 2 Years’ experience in Nuclear Plant Operations as an: STP SRO, or > 1 year as an SRO at another station, or >10 experience in Plant Operations
Department or >10 years in Maintenance Dept. with 3 years scheduling experience. (Required)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
•        SRO Certification (Preferred)
•        SRO License (Preferred)
•        RO License (Preferred)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

WORK WEEK COORDINATION:
Coordinates and safely implements the Authorized Work Schedule and Emergent activities. Evaluates activities for Work Risk, Operational and Reactivity impact.
•        Develops and approves scope changes implements assigned portions of on-line maintenance schedules. Supports scheduling, work execution, and performance review processes from T-24 through T+1, as assigned. Monitors Schedule Level A/B, PRA and BOP Trip Risk activities.
•        Facilitates Challenge Reviews under Work Control Guidelines. Coordinates schedule changes IAW Work Control Guidelines, communicates changes to stakeholders and updates frags. Leads the Daily Status Meeting during their implementation week.
•        Attends schedule development meetings and chair meetings as required. Interfaces with the schedulers to ensure schedule is accurate, timely, complete and properly maintained.
•        Performs the Risk Analysis for the individual work weeks including categorizing individual activities. Develops the Work Activity Risk (WAR) plans for items requiring a WAR that are identified.
•        Participates in the preparation of RMTS implementation, Extended LCO Work Weeks, Forced outage/downpower events and other special projects.
•        Coordinates the development, implementation, analysis, and reporting of performance against established site and department goals/performance indicators for the assigned department.
•        Identifies and develops corrective actions to address adverse trends detected based on performance indicator results or to address Areas for Improvement identified in self-assessments.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
•        Accept ERO position as needed.
•        Accept outage position as needed.
•        Supports duty coverage as assigned.
•        Demonstrates strong knowledge of integrated plant systems and relationships.
•        Attends LOR to maintain RO or SRO License OR attend LOR to maintain License CERT.
•        Support Work Control Initiatives, assessments and benchmarking.

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
•        Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.
•        Strong verbal and written communication. Proficient use of software to write complete, concise, clear reports and prepare and deliver presentations to STPNOC Management.
•        Knowledge of the Work Control Processes, procedures and implementation and working knowledge of the modification process.
•        Working knowledge of in-plant maintenance activities and coordination. Working knowledge of Plant systems, Operations and generation procedures and site licensing documents including Technical Specifications, UFSAR, E-Plan and 10CFR50.72
•        Ability to track work activities planned, in progress and completed as assigned. Ability to be flexible and organized. Maintain a professional demeanor under pressure or during plant emergencies.
•        Ability to use mathematics to compute job completion times for work planning.

WORKING CONDITIONS
•        Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
•        Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
•        Office environment and part time plant environment. Must be able to access all areas of the plant •        Carry duty pager or phone on a rotational basis
•        Travel may be required.
