Job description
Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for an Electrical Utilities Systems Analysis Specialist opportunity for our customer in Richland, WA to support the Hanford Site.

Title of Scope: Electrical Utilities Systems Analysis Specialist

Work Location / Potential Access Requirements: 2101M/200E

Hanford Sitewide Services/Infrastructure Electrical Utilities (EU) is in need of a subcontractor to work in support of EU requirements as a Program System Specialist located at 2101M, 200 East Hanford.

The function of this position is to support and assist in completing Meter and Electrical report deliverables for Hanford’s EU. These tasks fulfill requirements of Hanford Sitewide Services/Infrastructure Contractor including making the Hanford electrical system more reliable and maintainable.

•        Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, economics, business, computer science; or a minimum of 1 years’ experience in energy management, system integration, project controls, utility billing, statistics, or similar field.
•        Experience and/or capability in writing technical documentation involving publication of materials such as procedures, reports, etc.
•        Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
•        Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork collaboration skills.
•        Aptitude for process improvement, system development, and motivated job completion with an attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications:
•        Strong computer skills: including proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
•        Able to research, compile, coordinate, schedule, review, document, organize, verify data, conduct independent analysis and identify inconsistencies. With this data, produce energy audit report and suggest process improvement plans.
•        Previous experience in projects and/or systems within an electrical utility (transmission and distribution system), or Department of Energy (DOE), Federal Energy Management Programs.

The EU Systems Analysis Specialist is responsible for preparing various system reports including usage, loads, forecasts, rates, costs and billing for the Hanford Site. The reports must be completed in a timely manner preventing a negative review by RL and adversely affecting the amount of fee. The data is also used for engineering decisions on facility modifications, energy management, and performance tracking. Due to implementation of the EPAct 2005 and other regulations, these processes are required to support contractual, legal, and regulatory milestones (such as DOE-HQ). The position should also assist in the advancement of the technological processes and the administration of the systems and the reports.

Site Access and Work Hours
Hanford personnel at the Hanford Site work a standard 4/10 schedule. The standard work week consist of ten (10) hours of work between 6:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with one-half hour designated as an unpaid period for lunch, Monday through Thursday. Work performed outside normal operating hours shall be coordinated and/or approved through the BTR and/or the contract Specialist prior to performing the work.
