Job description

Position Summary: The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible to lead and direct efforts to maintain plant equipment and enhance safety, reliability and operability
Will have overall responsibility for identifying work scope and material needs, scheduling work, and securing internal and external resources to execute work.
• Models a safety-first environment by cultivating a high awareness of health, safety and environmental (HSE) expectations within the internal and external maintenance team.
• Maintains high facility housekeeping standards and ensures the same are maintained by external maintenance resources.
• Manages computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for documentation of facility maintenance work and asset history. Updates the system as needed.
• Works with the Purchasing Manager to develop work scopes and material needs for predictive, preventive, corrective and major maintenance for the Biorefinery and FPF to ensure the reliability and operability of all equipment and processes.
• Develops schedules for maintenance work activities in coordination with the Biorefinery and FPF Operations teams that supports the annual business objectives for work execution, reliability and budget. • Works closely with the Operations and Plant Services teams to design, develop, monitor and improve the asset-based maintenance program through the development of value-added preventive maintenance tasks, the effective use of predictive and other non-destructive testing and methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems.
• Provides scheduling of all day-to-day maintenance activities performed by both internal and external personnel to meet business objectives for reliability and PM Compliance.
• Secures qualified outside resources to assist in job execution as needed.
• Communicates job status and cost regularly to stakeholders.
• Manages maintenance work processes and trains others in their use.
• Manages work to minimize cost and maximize safety and productivity.
• Conducts other duties as assigned to ensure the overall success of the Biorefinery and FPF

Qualification Requirements:
• Five or more years of Maintenance Planning and/or field supervision experience in a heavy industrial environment such as power generation, mining, refining or chemical processing industry.
• Solid background and proven experience in routine and corrective maintenance concepts to execute maintenance, preventive maintenance and project work.
• Ability to comprehend and apply technical drawings, design documents, specifications and procedures
• Familiarity with basic principles of process piping, pressure vessels, heat exchange equipment, rotating equipment, basic electrical components and process control devices

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as a professional and courteous attitude. Ability to prepare accurate and reliable reports using both technical and non-technical language. Ability to maintain detailed, complete and accurate records.
• Ability to effectively operate a computer and use programs such as a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), project scheduling, and project cost tracking software.
• Ability to organize projects, accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Working Conditions:
• Regular exposure to variable weather conditions. Occasional exposure to occupational risks including hazardous chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment operations.
• Ability to work off shift, weekends or holidays as required to support planned and unplanned downtime conditions. Physical Requirements: • Job conditions require standing, climbing ladders, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking and hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping.
• Ability to climb ladders and/or stairs to over 100 ft. and work in elevated locations. Ability to work in enclosed/confined spaces.
• Successful completion of pre-employment medical, drug and criminal background checks.
• Ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles

Ability to effectively interface and communicate with a variety of people with varying degrees of education, experience and responsibilities.
• Ability to work within a virtual team organization.
• Ability to work well with others including Fulcrum employees and external contacts such as vendors, suppliers and agencies.
• Effectively resolve conflicts in a professional manner by treating differences of opinion and judgement professionally as opposed to on a personal level.
• Treat all with respect in a manner one would want to be treated.
