Job description

The Batch maker is responsible for producing products per the batch ticket.


Operate mixers, weigh raw materials per the batch ticket.

Prepare tank for batch processing by insuring its cleanliness, setting valves and checking support equipment.

Monitor batch making process and deliver samples to Quality Control as required.

Update Plant Manager on batch status.

Report questionable raw materials to Plant Manager or R&D Laboratory.

Use material handling equipment to move raw materials to and from batch making area.

Perform department housekeeping to insure a clean and safe work environment.

Follow all environmental regulations with respect to hazardous waste etc.

Report shortages of materials to Plant Manager in a timely manner.

Follow safety rules when working with hazardous materials, equipment or in hazardous environments.

Follow the guidelines and procedures outlined in the Quality Manual.

Any other jobs as deemed necessary by management

High school diploma or equivalent.

A minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience, preferably in a related industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple verbal and written instructions. Ability to perform basic math.

Decision and problem solving skills

Effective organizational skills

Ability to multitask

Working Conditions

Normal industrial environment where there is exposure to hazards due to temperature, dust, noise and the like.
