Job description
Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for Construction Managers, Superintendents, and Supervisors responsible for construction infrastructure upgrade projects for our customer in Los Alamos, NM for the LANL Facility.



Experienced Construction Managers/Superintendents/supervisors for long-term projects supporting the Capital Asset Group in Los Alamos, NM. 140+ construction projects in the pipeline from 1 mil – 50 mil each.



Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated combination of equivalent education and experience: 15 years’ related field construction experience, including at least 2 years of experience as Construction Manger or Construction Superintendent or Construction Supervisor position or demonstrated equivalent.



Level Specific Responsibilities: Under general direction

Fully or partially responsible for a functional area of construction.

Coordinates and directs multi-discipline supervisors/craft activities within a specific area of the project, or all related crafts of a single discipline covering one or more areas of the project.

Provides back-up support to the Project Superintendent and/or Site Manager.

Receives technical and operational supervision from assigned construction superintendent or other

designated supervising superintendent.

Responsible for supervising and directing operations within assigned discipline or area.

Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents and others, as assigned.

Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors performance are in compliance with

specifications and within schedules and budget.

Performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.

Responsible for field construction operations within assigned discipline or area.

Safely directs assigned construction work in accordance with LANL’s Safety program.

Determines manual staffing requirements.

Coordinates established area operational plans.

Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.

Monitors work activities, ensures the quality of work performed.

Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are

approved prior to implementation.

Approves craft time records using established automated tools.

Prepares schedules, construction methods and procedures.

Supervises and directs subordinate personnel and craftsmen in in construction activities within assigned

area.

Prepares reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast.

Monitors tool usage on the site. Prepares Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.

Monitors the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.

Responsible for the implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures and instructions within

assigned operations.

Coordinates activities with other disciplines or areas, and clients' resident representatives as instructed by construction management.

Performs employee reviews and identifies Training and Development opportunities for subordinate personnel.

Assesses needs and identifies craft/staff training requirements
