Position Summary

Responsible for design, development, administration, and implementation of technology-related learning solutions. Designs the instructional content for all deliverables. Works with subject matter experts to obtain the information to be taught and organize it into logical, instructional patterns that are appropriate for the culture and level of expertise of the learners. Contributes to the development of eLearning development processes in the areas of course development, instructional design, and use of interactive and media supported elements (e.g. games, audio, video, graphic design, and other technology-related tools or mediums).


Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify appropriate learning solutions and follow a proven instructional design process from start to finish
  • Design, develop, maintain and implement creative and innovative eLearning solutions (including course content, exams, simulations, and games) using sound instructional design.
  • Integrate online learning solutions into the Learning Management System (LMS) and other delivery mechanisms.
  • Partner with technical team and other internal resources to ensure that specific solutions are implemented effectively and troubleshoot eLearning content for optimal performance. Tests and implements vendor provided eLearning technology.
  • Ensure consistency in learning needs assessment, design, development, delivery, and measurement in partnership with business unit customer and internal resources.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of content and images; following appropriate standards; develop and implement other media elements to increase course effectiveness.
  • Share emerging learning technologies and trends, and continuous improvement ideas.
  • Assure that training solutions incorporate best practices in adult learning theory by monitoring and practicing the latest trends and techniques in adult learning and incorporating them into course designs.
  • Create participant guides, facilitator guides, and supporting materials.


Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years related experience designing, developing and implementing interactive eLearning programs; proven experience incorporating graphics, animations, audio and other multimedia elements.
  • Demonstrated experience with eLearning development tools.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems, SCORM, and AICC desired.
  • Ability to appropriately apply use of current and emerging technologies to learning solutions.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.



  • In-depth knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
