Job Summary
This role is the entry or developing level in the Nuclear Document Management (NDM) Specialist series. It supports the mission of the NDM program by learning to perform a variety of moderate-level work assignments and more specialized tasks to develop and enhance document management experience. This position uses existing policies and procedures to solve routine or standard problems, receiving instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles. Ensures compliance with regulatory and legal requirements dictated by Nuclear Information Record Management Association standards and DOM-QA-1.
Specific job duties include:
In addition, the Nuclear Document Management Specialist I will learn to perform all or most of the following specialized tasks, with senior staff and leadership training, support, oversight and review of their work. Certain tasks may be station/location specific:
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:
0 ? 2 years directly related experience;
Developing knowledge and understanding of company policies and NDM department procedures;
Developing ability to manage multiple activities, resources, and task priorities;
Developing ability to exercise limited discretion and independent judgment within clearly defined established procedures
Demonstrates self-motivation and desire to increase skills and grow in ability;
Developing analytical and problem-solving skills;
Good customer service skills and ability to work with a team;
Demonstrates attention to detail;
Strong oral and written communication skills;

Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Associate
Preferred Discipline(s): Business Administration, Information Systems
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.

With adequate training and support, the NDM Staff participates in an on-call beeper schedule to respond to and support a station?s immediate Document Management needs.
