Summary of Responsibilities
This opportunity is for a senior level procurement professional who, at the local/site level will support the Site's goals of safety, people, and sustainability by assuming all commercial aspects of the acquisition of goods and services within a given category of spend for the UUSA operation. Work with relevant customers/stakeholders and Procurement Manager in the development and execution of the customer aligned and integrated category plan(s). Support the development of and mentor other individual contributors in technical Procurement matters and processes.
At a global level, the successful candidate for this role will develop and deliver long term sustainable value from UUSA's external spend within defined category of expenditure in alignment with Group plans. As a member of a global category team, actively contribute to the development and execution of the category plan and associated projects in order to derive optimal value from the supply chain and the dissemination of best practice within URENCO.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in business or a related degree and 10 or more years of experience in procurement/supply chain management and have a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) credential.
The following skills are preferred:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills are a must for this role.
A demonstrated ability to mentor and develop others in the relevant field are preferred.
Must be able to navigate Microsoft office suite and purchasing/procurement software systems. SAP (or equivalent ERM software) skills are a must. Experience with Provalido is preferred.
Must be able to demonstrate strong process controls experience.
Job Details
The location for this role is either Fort Worth, Texas, or Eunice NM.
Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed.
This is a hybrid role with the expectation that the incumbent will work from the office 2-3 days per week based on business need and work remotely the remainder of the week.
Travel Required: 20% travel or less is required for this role based on business needs. For incumbents hired in Fort Worth, TX ?25% travel (1 week per month) to the main site in Eunice NM will be required.
Travel Required: In addition to site travel, the candidate for this role may travel up to 20% of the time or less based on business needs.
Primary Functions
Perform in accordance with our Foundational Behaviors, company values, and URENCO Behaviors.
Closely liaise with the Group Category Management Teams to ensure that best practices are shared across the company and that UUSA plans are fully aligned with Group plans.
Lead the development of medium to long term UUSA Category Plans to provide clarity on the vision, strategy, and implementation processes ensuring value delivery (lower costs, mitigated risk, supply assurance) through detailed understanding of business requirements, supply market dynamics, and TCO impacts.
Implement effective and sustainable supplier management programs.
Lead the development, review, negotiation, execution, management, and documentation of significant and complex contracts and contract amendments in accordance with URENCO's policies and procedures to drive value.
Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, business partners, and senior leaders to gain support and cooperation in the delivery of sourcing projects and the category plan to drive savings and performance improvement.
Implement category and contract Key Performance Indicators to effectively manage the reporting processes and ensure optimal performance of contractors and suppliers.
Develop and mentor other individual contributors in the technical Procurement process and standards.
