Expected salary range of $107,100 to $119,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

Supervise PowerLabs technicians who perform laboratory and onsite calibration and testing services. This position is responsible for all aspects of production, quality, and safety in completing calibration services in accordance with customer requirements. Responsibilities include supervision and development of technicians and administrative staff, adherence to customer contracts, development and execution of work management schedules, review and approval of technical documents related to workflow including but not limited to: Out of Tolerance Reports, Procurement Transactions, Requisitions, Non-Conformance Reports, Certifications, etc. This position also requires client and vendor interface for technical questions as well as supporting proposals for new equipment or new clients.


Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Responsible for supervising technicians in laboratory or onsite calibration and testing services. Develops and maintains a team culture founded in Constellation Core Values, team performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible to ensure calibrations are performed in accordance with the Constellation PowerLabs Quality Assurance Manual.
  • Develops personnel through formal training and coaching to assure proper level of qualifications and personnel growth. This includes personnel performance management and coaching in corrective actions.
  • Responsible for developing and executing work schedules to meet customer requirements. This involves coordinating efficient production between all PowerLabs locations and approving test results and records.
  • Perform and support technical problem resolution, develop new test methods, write procedures and develop new product lines. Review and approve related technical documentation and procedures.
  • Review and approve related technical documentation and procedures.
  • Interface with customers and address any issues appropriately.
  • Interface with Customer Care, shipping/receiving, marketing and sales and finance as needed.
  • Coordinate marketing activities with production and staffing capabilities as required.
  • All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Department duty coverage and/or call out and positions outside of department in support of emergent activities etc.)


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear), Science OR
  • Associate's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear), Science or related field with 6 years of related experience OR
  • Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) certification with 6 years of related experience
  • High school diploma/GED and 8 years of related experience
  • Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in calibration of measuring and test equipment
  • Experience in metrology
  • Experience in power plant operations or engineering
  • Supervisory or management experience
