Expected salary range of $147,600 to $164,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

Manage all functions related to Chemistry and Radioactive Waste management. Ensure chemistry programs required to protect all critical Clean Energy Center (CEC) assets are effectively implemented. Provide leadership and advocate for chemistry and radioactive waste performance. This includes all performance and regulatory issues related to chemistry and radwaste management.

 

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Participate as a CEC leader and peer group member to drive department and CEC performance.
  • Supervise/mentor direct reports and coach chemistry supervisors and department members.
  • Responsible for driving CEC chemistry performance and equipment reliability.
  • Monitor performance and maintain aggressive department/CEC improvement plans.
  • Manage and oversee contracts, including full time contractors, for radioactive waste management, raw water chemical treatment and control, makeup water processing, and other chemistry sampling and analysis responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the budget, department, and CEC level performance indicators in the functional area.
  • Responsible for regulatory aspects of chemistry, radwaste, and environmental sampling/analysis programs.
  • Responsible for development planning & succession planning within department
  • Responsible for Business Unit/Management relationship.
  • Responsible for Chemistry Technician Training Program and Staff Development.
  • Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.

Manager Site Chemistry & Radwaste

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, related science, or chemical engineering
  • 8 years of professional nuclear-related experience, including 4 years in chemistry, 2 years nuclear power plant experience and at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
