Expected salary range of $108,000 to $120,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

The Plumbing Service Manager will lead a team of Plumber Technicians, driving operational performance, customer satisfaction, and compliance. This position is responsible for team development, service quality, and strategic execution aligned with company goals.

 

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Performs managerial duties in the Plumbing Service Department, including supervising plumbers and managing daily plumbing operations, providing coaching and documentation.
  • Resolves customer inquiries and complaints related to plumbing and natural gas equipment.
  • Investigates and oversees safety and damage incidents related to plumbers.
  • Monitors key performance indicators and develops, produces, and submits accurate reports.
  • Develops and maintains an operating budget which meets company and division profitability goals.
  • Perform one-on-one meetings with service personnel to review scorecard progress on a regular basis, coaching and developing team members.
  • Maintain employee files for field technicians in the Plumbing Service group and ensures all performance and quality records are up to date for evaluation purposes.
  • Provide and implement strategies to improve employee engagement.
  • Keeps abreast of all national, state, and local rules and regulations pertaining to the safe operation and servicing of all residential plumbing and natural gas systems.
  • Works with training team to ensure appropriate training for plumbing team.
  • Provides continuous and timely feedback to upper management, keeping them abreast of day-to-day issues that are important to the business, customer and/or the employee
  • Understand and utilize financials statement reports and analytical data.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 12 years of related experience, including 2 years in a leadership role
  • Must hold or obtain a Master Plumber License within one year of hire
  • Journeyman Plumbing license
  • Eligibility to meet Company driving standards, including possession of a valid driver's license
  • Understands company policies and procedures to ensure compliance within the department
  • Demonstrated ability to handle and resolve customer-related problems
  • Proven ability to identify future operational needs and develop recommendations for Service section improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and interpret financial reports
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PC and Microsoft office applications
  • Available to participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the service industry
  • Strong management, employee relations and organizational skills
